AMA Queensland's submission to the TGA's review into unapproved medicinal cannabis products

The Therapeutic Goods Administration is reviewing the safety and regulatory oversight of unapproved medicinal cannabis products. 

AMA Queensland has advocated for improved regulation of medicinal cannabis since 2023 due to concerns about high rates of prescribing, dispensing and adverse outcomes. We have collaborated with other health organisations and raised issues with state and federal health ministers.
