As a result of the 2026 AMA Queensland election outcomes, we have the following casual vacancies available:
AMA Queensland Board
- 1 x Member Elected Director 2026-2027 (one-year term to the end of the AGM in 2027 succeeding a mid-term Board resignation). Applicants must have a Director Identification Number (ASIC requirement).
AMA Queensland Council
- 1 x First Nations Representative 2026-2028 (two-year term to the end of the AGM in 2028) being those medical practitioners who are First Nations doctors and able to provide advice on health policy impacting First Nations communities.
- 1 x International Medical Graduate Representative 2026-2027 (one-year term to the end of the AGM in 2027 succeeding a mid-term Council resignation) being those medical practitioners who obtained their primary medical qualification from a medical school located outside of Australia.
- 1 x North Coast Area Representative 2026-2028 (two-year term to the end of the AGM in 2028) being those members whose principal place of practice as registered with Ahpra includes postcodes 4550 to 4601 and 4619 to 4675 inclusive.
- 1 x Gold Coast Area Representative 2026-2028 (two-year term to the end of the AGM in 2028) being those members whose principal place of practice as registered with Ahpra includes postcodes 4200 to 4299 inclusive.
